a simple mindmap app
Ideate - Think - Plan
- No login
- Easy Backups
- Works offline
- No tracking
What it does
Fast to think in
Tab for a child, Enter for the next one at the same level. Keyboard-complete on desktop, including node changes.
Easy backups
Every change saves itself, a copy of each day is kept for a month, and one button writes every map to a single file you keep.
Good on a phone
Built for a small screen first. Drag a branch to move it, hold to lift it, focus one branch when the map outgrows the screen.
Paste a list, get a branch
Notes written elsewhere become a subtree in one paste — bullets optional, any indentation.
What it doesn't do
Most of these would need the server this app doesn't have.
- No accounts, server, collaboration or sync between devices
- No cloud storage, and no backend of any kind
- No analytics, telemetry or cookie banners
- No themes beyond following your system's light and dark setting
MIT licensed, so forking is a reasonable answer to anything on that list.
No network requests after the page loads
Open developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and use the app. After the initial load there is nothing — no analytics, no fonts from a CDN, no autosave to a server.
